The Stranraer Show is one of Dumfries and Galloways most popular annual events. The show is organised and hosted by Stranraer & Rhins of Galloway Agricultural Society in order to showcase the best of local livestock, agricultural products and rural crafts.
The Show is the perfect mix of the traditional agricultural show where it’s all about the livestock, the competition and showmanship as well as having a huge variety trade stands, craft and food stalls and live entertainment to ensure a great day out for all the family.
Plans are well underway for the 2016 Show and there are already lots of great things planned for the big day. The main ring entertainment will be provided by the Kangaroo Kid who promises a totally unique show that's not to be missed! There will be cookery demonstrations, sheep shearing, show jumping and lots of live music.
The highlight, however will be the livestock when we'll get to meet and greet the creme de la creme of the regions cattle, horses, sheep and goats when country really does come to town for the day.
Keep up-to-date as plans develop on here and on our facebook page and we look forward to welcoming you to the 2016 Stranraer Show.
