The Stranraer Show

The Stranraer Show is one of Dumfries and Galloways most popular annual events.  The show is organised and hosted by Stranraer & Rhins of Galloway Agricultural Society in order to showcase the best of local livestock, agricultural products and rural crafts.

The Show is the perfect mix of the traditional agricultural show where it’s all about the livestock, the competition and showmanship as well as having a huge variety trade stands, craft and food stalls and live entertainment to ensure a great day out for all the family.

There will be lots going on at this years Show.  In the main ring Jousting Scotland will be entertaining, there will be the grand parade of livestock, performances from the Blue Bombshells and a vintage tractor parade from Glenluce Vintage Tractors.  Live music will be provided by singing duo Robyn & Claire and later in the day local band The Hoolies will perform.  Also throughout the day there will be cookery demonstrations, show jumping and a sheep shearing demonstration.

In 2014 Stranraer Show is proud to be a Homecoming Scotland partnership event.
